This unusual pill box pays homage to the wonderful life in the coral reef. The
box top is overgrown with various corals, sponges, algae, mussels and snails,
inhabited by a moray eel, a flounder, a large parrotfish with a young. White
diamonds sparkle in the eyes of the large parrotfish and small areas of the
fish are gold-plated. The bottom of the box stands on four mussels. If you open
the dark oxidized sea can, the warm gold plating shines out. This unique piece
has an outer diameter of about 40 mm. The space for tablets or other items
measures in diameter 29 mm and is 8mm deep. In the lid there is also 8 mm space
upwards. The complete reef box weighs an impressive 86 grams.
This maritime unique piece was modeled in wax by Iris Schamberger with great
attention to detail and cast in recycled sterling silver. Then plated with
gold, oxidized and fired with a special varnish.
A real collector's item for every sea fan or diver.
